An evening of style and floristry at David Linley's designer shop

A friend and I spent a delightful evening at David Linley's shop in Pimlico Road. David Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley (known professionally as David Linley) is the son of the late Princess Margaret and is a very talented English furniture maker as well as chairman of the auction house Christie's UK.

David runs this event every Christmas in collaboration with House & Garden magazine and many of the guests attend every year. It was my first time and I am definitely going back next year as it was a superb evening.

London florist, Tattie Rose Flowers, was showing people how to make Christmas wreaths. She is so talented and a lot of the guests were looking and learning and then buying her creations.  I could appreciate her work as I trained many years ago as a florist.

We were served copious amounts of Laurent Perrier champagne and the most delicious canapés by very charming staff. We also were given a wonderful goodie bag at the end of the evening which included one of Linley's fabulous candles.

My friend and I had the pleasure of being shown around by the very charming and knowledgeable creative director, Alex Isaac. He described each piece of furniture and how it was designed and made. Absolutely fascinating.

Thank you to everyone at Linley for organising such a fantastic evening. I can't wait for next year's event! The images below give you an idea of how beautiful the shop is. I love the strong turquoise accent colours in the cabinets which is also reflected in the bags when you purchase something.

This bar cabinet below was absolutely stunning. Shame I didn't take a picture of the outside of the cabinet because it was beautiful.

The shop has a florist who does the flowers in the shop and this table centre was beautiful
