Drying clothes in London with an urban clothes line

For those who don't have gardens or who live in accommodation above ground level, there is often a solution to drying your clothes outside but only if you have a neighbouring property wall to hand. I am lucky enough to have a clothes line strung from the back of my flat to the wall of the flat behind mine.  It's a superb way to dry clothes outdoors.

It can also double up as a bird feeder in the winter; however, the squirrels tend to get there first! For those of you in countries with plenty of space this sort of clothes line must seem rather novel.
