More by luck then design, I seem to have a purple theme going on in my home with my Christmas decorations. However, I did have my sofa restored and re-upholstered in purple velvet so I guess purple is my colour of the moment!

The exception to my purple theme is the little fake tree in the hall which is red and white and my red amaryllis plant in the entrance. However, it is not such a bad thing to have a colour theme and the good thing about purple is there are lots of fabulous kitsch decorations around in shades of purple or pink.

I get quite hung up on ensuring that my house is festive without being over the top and that there is a lot of candlelight, hence so many candlesticks and tea light holders in the photos below!
