Let the London winter sunshine in

It's a beautiful day ..............

..... I feel a song coming on! Seriously though, it is a gorgeous day in London and I have all the windows and doors open. Hard to believe after weeks of terrible storms that have battered all parts of the UK.  I had rain coming in under the French door in my sitting room but other than that no damage.

It makes one feel good to be alive when the sky is so blue and the sun shining. There are about 7 finches in the tree outside my kitchen chirping away and generally doing some housekeeping in their nests.

I'm about to plant tulip bulbs!  It's only January, for goodness sake, but it really hasn't been cold this winter (so far) despite all the storms.  My roses are still blooming and I have buds on my hydrangeas!

These blue daisies remind me of New Zealand and mine have been flowering profusely all winter!

A tray of spring bulbs on the kitchen table, all of which remind me that spring is not far away.

This weather makes one feel good. Long may it last!
