Dining on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Here are a few snapshots of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We started Christmas Eve with some snacks and champagne around 5pm after everyone came back home.  I had made a selection of homemade cookies (below) and also put a selection of savoury snacks on the table:

Christmas morning - the old man with the white beard seems to have paid us a visit during the night!!

Champagne at 11am to get the day going!

We lit the fire in the sitting-room and I made a candle feature on the mantelpiece which burned all evening creating a magical atmosphere

The table setting on Christmas day is very important to me. This year I decided to have a white & silver theme with an accent colour of purple in the candles

Two starters - slices of tomato and smoked salmon:

Red pepper soufflé (see recipe on separate post)

We had roast lamb with trimmings for the main course and a divine tiramisu for dessert.
